Area Attractions:
C Bar J Cabins is located 10 miles off of Stockton Lake in Dunnegan, Missouri. There are many attractions within close proximity to our resort including:
Fantastic Caverns- America's Ride-Through Cave - is a family owned
business. It was discovered in 1862 by a farmer - or more precisely, by his
dog, who crawled through an entrance. It wasn't until five years later that
the first exploration took place: 12 women from Springfield, answering a
newspaper ad seeking explorers, ventured into the cave. Their names
remain on a cave wall today.
Double J Arena - just outside of Humansville that hosts events
such as Rodeos, horse shows, Cowboy Mounted Shooting competitions,
bull rides, barrel racing, and high school rodeos year around.
Dunnegan Spring park (one-half mile away) offers large maintained picnic
area with tables, bar-b-cue grills and a community building that can be
rented for events.
Cooper Creek Off-Road Vehicle Area (approx. 40 min north)
The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame - is a 22,000-sq. ft. museum filled with
sports memorabilia and interactive displays. Enjoy broadcasting a game,
throwing a touchdown pass, or seeing what a 90 mph major league
baseball looks like.
